Time for a big sigh of relief 🙂
**Warning – talk of needles.. and injections in places no one wants to here about..**
My pre-surgery electrolysis appointment that I told everyone about yesterday is over. I now just need to complete the after-care regimen which was no big deal last time.
It was honestly more painful to get the shots this time than it was last time. I think last time (my first time) I was not dreading it as much as I was this time and the anxiety made me uber-aware of the pain. Also, the doctor actually hit the ol’ left testicle during one injection. I kind of shrieked on that one.Â
However, once the 20 or so shots were completed, I coasted through the actual electrolysis. This procedure really is amazing if you can make it through the shots. It only took two hours of electrolysis to clear the whole surgical area once I was all numbed up.Â
One particular aspect of this experience is not at all unpleasant. For a time, due to the shots I have absolutely no feeling in my groin area. This means of course, that I can not feel that the old equipment is there anymore. Even more amazing is the act of peeing when in this situation. I needed to go midway through the appointment (you can still tell that your bladder is full). I went to the restroom sat down and just let it go and could not feel the act of peeing the way I have for most of my life. Rather than freaking out about it, I actually relished in the fact that my equipment felt non-existent and I actually look forward to getting more used to that post-surgery.Â
I hope hearing about this procedure helps some of you. I am feeling more okay with sharing the details. Actually, the electrologist was intrigued by my Twitch channel as I told her about live-streaming things. She actually seemed excited about me live-streaming the details of my final appointment
(with only showing the tools and perhaps my face and reactions, etc). I told her I would have to think about it. She is a character and you all would love her. Her facility is amazing and I was once again in the Mermaid themed room….

I was still numb when were done so I felt good enough to go have some sushi at a place next door to her office.Â

Sushi Time!

It was delicious. I took a quick selfie in the restroom at the sushi place, because well.. I am me..

Thank you all so much for the messages of support and love that were sent after my post last night. I read every single one and they all helped. Oh and by the way, after my appointment I checked my phone and received my “what to expect” packet from the surgeons office. It has tips and such about what to plan for pre-surgery. Things are moving along!
