Hi! I’m a 17 year old and I’m really questioning gender at the moment, I was wondering if you could tell me about your views on what gender is and what being a women is as a trans woman (I ask because to have transitioned -very beautifully-  you must have been very sure about your gender as a women, most cisgirls I know in real life don’t seem to be able to articulate what womanhood means to them beyond the biology of it.) Really appreciate any time you take reading/answering this thank you <3

For me, 3 weeks after I was able to start hormone therapy my crippling gender dysphoria was nearly gone. That cemented in my mind what I needed to do. I was never going back. Since then, I have not “tried to be my idea of a what a woman is”.. instead I just stayed on HRT and continued facial hair removal. Everything since then.. my sense of style,  makeup skills,  sense of self.. has evolved. I openly identify as a transgender woman when I meet people. So.. I do not try to fit in to anyone’s pre-conceived notions of what a woman is.  I just focus on being me.. and that person happens to come close to our societies view of what a woman is.

Thank you this is really helpful and refreshing to hear!

My advice would be to just focus on being yourself.. that in turn helps you love yourself.. which in turn helps other people to learn to love you.

May I share this conversation on my blog? It may be helpful to others

sure you can share it! And that sounds like great advise

Visiting Family

I had a very nice visit bringing the kids to my Mom and Dad’s. My parents made an excellent lunch. I got to spend some time with my sister and my 5 month old niece too 😉 It was a bright beautiful day today. My son and I threw a nerf football around outside too which as always was fun but a little chilly! My daughter and I took advantage of the great light for some selfies, (okay I took a lot of selfies, lol).

I think I took so many because I was feeling happy. My parents tried much harder today to get both my name and pronoun usage right. After it not being an issue at all anymore with my friends and co-workers, the only time I was hearing my old name and the wrong pronouns was while visiting family or while on the phone with telemarketers. I talked to my parents about a month ago asking them to please try to re-double their effort in changing their habits of how they address me – and they have 🙂 Thanks Mom and Dad!

I just wanted to share this happy feeling.

OH! I forgot to mention that as of March 1st I am officially at two and half years of HRT! Woohoo!

I hope you all have a great rest of the weekend.

My goal in sharing my transition is to represent transgender people in the positive light that we all deserve. Re-blogs are always okay if they are for this purpose, but if you are a fetish blog or fetish website then I want nothing to do with you and you do not have my permission to use my images.

A Whole Lotta Brown

Due to the warmer weather today, I wore a fun outfit I have not pulled out in several months.

Other than stepping out at lunch for an appointment, I worked my tush off today both during my day job then later on a website.

I also spent a little time playing with my hair during a rather long conference call. It kind of looked like a Cylon Raider. I think I invented a style! 😉

Yes, I can do two things at once (added that in case my boss reads this).

Hope you all had some smiles today.
